2000 for ONE

Our adoption, with the home study cost included, will be a minimum of $38,000. While "Team: Baby Williams" is working on many numerous ways to raise funds to help with this cost, we are also beginning our "2000 for ONE Campaign".

The 2000 for ONE Campaign?

We are searching for 2000 people to stand with us and to help us bring this precious baby home. 2000 people to give $15 and receive nothing in return but our gratitude and the knowledge that the Lord is using them to bring one child in need into a loving home. 

We know that times are tough and that not everyone can help us financially. That's okay, if you can't give anything, we're asking that you take a stand with us and pray, not just for us, but for this sweet little angel that God has waiting for us.

There is a big chance that we could get chosen very soon by a first (birth)mommie. If we are chosen we will have no more than 6, possibly 7, months before we will owe the full amount. This means that even with our fundraisers there's still a chance that we will have to depend on the generosity of family and friends to help us out.

Chris and I aren't the type of people to go out and "beg" others for help, but God is laying a path for us that is teaching us to shed our pride and drop to our knees in His grace. We are placing this entirely in God's hands. For as much as we long to be parents and long for a child we know that this isn't about US. This is about a sweet little baby that needs a loving home and family that can provide for him/her, not because his/her first/birth mommie and daddy don't love him/her, but because they love him/her SO MUCH that they want the best life possible for this baby.

As I stated previously, we know that the current economy is tough. Unemployment rates are high and most people are running on a strict budget. We don’t expect anyone to foot the bill for what God has called us to do. God has lined everything up so perfectly that there is no mistaking that this is in His plan for us. We have laid it all at His feet and in His hands.

Update: All 2000 people who donate will have their name place on the back of a puzzle piece. Once finished this puzzle will hang the nursery between two pieces of glass. This will be a wonderful keepsake for our child to see all of the people who were part of bringing him/her home.
